For working in, playing in, or just enjoying from afar while inside with a nice drink. Forecast for the next week? Mid 40's and lots of rain. Booooo

I’ll take the rain.

But it’s so dark. And dreary. And miserable. And depressing, bleak, daunting, dejecting, disheartening, dismal, dispiriting, distressing, funereal, gloomy, heartbreaking, hopeless, joyless, melancholic, melancholy, mournful, oppressive, sad, saddening, somber.
Snow is basically happiness falling from the sky

I want to both agree and disagree. This is what rain does to the field around my house, and the lawn is also a sloppy mess that sounds more like walking in puddles than on grass. But all this water as snow? oh boy would it be fun, yet cold.. i’ll take the cold if it includes frozen ocean that you can drive on again, like some 7-8 years ago.

Convergence zone, I understand it is nicer to the north and south.
Today is a good day for doing things indoors. I doubt I’ll put on real shoes today :)

It’s a part of life in western WA. The rain can get old, but all of the other traits of other places can get old too. There’s a reason people flock here. Move away, and you’ll probably regret it :)
I remember when I lived up north, we had snow on the ground for weeks - it got old, as there was no new snow, the old stuff just got dirty and messy.
I like snow too - for a few days. Otherwise, I’ll want different cars, and living in a different place (where people can drive in it, they can’t even drive in rain here)

From November- December 26th, I want snow. After that, it can fuck right off and I’ll gladly take rain over it.

I like the people not being able to drive in it. Makes for some entertainment during the day, and empty roads after 8pm. Of course I hope no one gets hurt, etc.
I’m just complaining because the Miata is currently awful in the rain. Snow tires so I can’t slide around, yet I don’t even have great grip to offset the lack of slide-ability. Plus it fogs up like no other, reaaaaally need a hardtop and a hooked up rear defrost

Working outdoors in rain is so miserable. Cold sucks too, but rain..... Gahhh. Working in snow is an event.

I like a snow day now and then where I can work from home, or brave empty roads, but rain driving here can be awful - it doubles commute times, and the already inept timid dipshidiots on the road here get exponentially slower.
Maybe you need a winter car? :)

Nah. Fuck snow.

My winter car might just be the most neglected (running) vehicle on Oppo. I’ve driven it maybe 10 times in the last three years.

Oh, so this is a personal problem then? If you want roadster fun all the time, there will be a price to pay :)
I have modern a daily driver that I can drive in any weather without fear, and a dear old sunny Sunday driver that generally only comes out when it is dry.

Did you sneak on my property and photograph my lawn?

In my opinion, this is better than that extended freeze we were getting. I love weather in the 40s - it’s cool enough that I pretty much can’t sweat and it’s warm enough that I can go outside without a jacket (or just a super light rain jacket).

I can definitely see how that would suck. But then it seems like snow and ice would suck even more because it’s dangerous.

Yes, please rescue, am stuck behind 3rd bush on the left. Mud to waist.

I like the cold. Proper layering takes care of the chill, and not only can I take the top down, I can leave it down overnight since it’s too cold to precipitate! That luxury is usually only available certain weeks of july/August

I’ll take rain any day. As a caveat I should mention this is coming from someone that spent 20hrs last week driving a snowplow.
